Κόσμος (kosmos) is a Greek word meaning order and harmony emerging from chaos.

 

 

Dust and stars.

Both are particles floating within chaos.

 

Dust reveals its form in light,

and stars, too, appear as light.

 

The infinitesimal and the infinitely distant.

Though they exist on different scales,

 

as dust of the universe, and as dust of society,

we continually live between chaos, order, and harmony.

Κόσμος（kosmos）とは、ギリシャ語で「混沌（カオス）から立ち現れる秩序と調和」を意味する。

塵と星。

どちらも混沌の中に浮かぶ粒子。

 

塵は光の中でその姿をあらわし、

星もまた、光として現れる。

 

極小と極遠。

異なるスケールにありながら

 

宇宙の塵として、社会の塵として、私たちは絶えず、混沌と秩序と調和のあいだを生きている。
