Synopsis:


ENGLISH
This work is an interactive sound installation instrument. It consists of a metal barrier equipped with sensors connected to a computer program.

A simple contact with the barrier triggers the mechanism and produces sounds.

The program is set to react according to the intensity of the contact. Thus, a gentle touch will yield the voices of children while a more violent blow will result in the barking of dogs or the sirens of firefighters.

All of the recordings come from the urban sound environment.

Cette œuvre est un instrument d'installation sonore interactive, Elle se compose d’une barrière métallique munie de capteurs reliés à un programme informatique.

Un simple contact avec la barrière déclenche le mécanisme et produit des sons.

Le programme est réglé pour réagir selon l’intensité du contact. Ainsi une caresse donnera des voix d’enfants tandis qu’un coup plus violent aboutira à des aboiements de chiens ou à des sirènes de pompiers.

L’ensemble des enregistrements est issu de l’environnement sonore urbain.

この作品は、センサー付きの金属製バリアとデータ処理プログラムにより構成されている、インタラクティブな音響インスタレーション楽器です。

バリアに触れることで、様々な音が奏でられ、触れる強さに合わせてプログラムが反応します。軽いタッチでは街のざわめきや子どもたちの笑い声を発し、強い衝撃では犬の吠え声や消防車のサイレンを再現します。これらの音は全て、都市環境の音風景から収集された録音です。
